Quiet on the Set!
Providing two, and sometime three, hot and substantive custom meals to movie set cast and crew takes the edge off of an otherwise stressful work situation. Great food and drink on a movie set can make up for a grueling schedule, or working long hours for the love of the craft on shoestring budgets and wages.
In the case of film set catering, tasty and nutritious food and drink is the great equalizer as we experienced on the set time and again. We pride ourselves on serving up quality custom meals with variety and nutrition to keep the crew and talent energized and happy. Whether lunch is served at noon or midnight when adhering to the 6 hour maximum, we’re prepared to provide the best quality food on time and with a smile.
Outlaws and Angels Movie Set
Outlaws and Angels was filmed on an ambitious 18 day schedule at four different locations around the Santa Fe area. We catered meals for 60-80 guests over the course of three weeks. Eaves Movie Ranch, Diamond Tail Ranch, Bonanza Creek Ranch and Rancho de las Golondrinas were the backdrop to our sumptuous catered buffets.
Breakfast menus included traditional hot egg dishes, breakfast meats, salsas, fruit salads, yogurt and fruit juice. Lunch included an evolving selection of hot soup and fresh salads in addition to meat and vegetarian entrees and starch and vegetable sides.
Our house-made chipotle chile sauce was a definite hit, and the director and guests were introduced to Jamaica (Hibiscus) Agua Fresca for the first time!
Eddie Bauer Photo Shoot
The Eddie Bauer catalog photo shoot took place in and around the Santa Fe area over the course of five days for 22 guests. Bandelier National Monument, Tent Rocks National Monument, Rancho de las Golondrinas, the Santa Fe Farmer’s Market and the Santa Fe Plaza were the scenic backdrops to our gourmet catered buffets.
The lunch menu included an evolving selection of hot soups and salads in addition to meat and vegetarian entrees and starch and vegetable sides. The Eddie Bauer gang enjoyed desserts of fruit crumble, cheesecake and brûlée in our signature mason jars in addition to Belgian chocolate cookies and red chile chocolate ganache bars.
The Eddie Bauer crew included a father and daughter from London, England who were experiencing Santa Fe and New Mexico for the first time. By the end of the shoot, they were red and green chile converts as a result of our Southwestern food!
